What is the Teach Business English course? 

Teach Business English is a 25-hour trainer training course that gives English language teachers a solid foundation in teaching English to business, technical and professional people, or young adults preparing for the world of work.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have a minimum level of English equivalent to Trinity ISE III, IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 627 or CEFR C1.

An initial teaching qualification such as the Trinity College London Certifcate in TESOL is useful.

ELT teaching experience is useful.

We recommend applying at least eight weeks before the start of a course. 

Course Length and Location

The course is delivered over one week in the UNESCO city of Bath in a comfortable central training facility that offers wifi and refreshments.

Course Fee 

£500 / €590

This does not include accommodation.

We can offer you free parking in zone 3 of Bath, just behind the station in Widcombe. 

Recognition

You’ll receive an EMB Teach Business English certificate.

Extension

Participants who meet the Cert IBET entry requirements (within 12 months of the TBE) may take the online Part 2 of the Cert IBET course  to gain the Trinity Cert IBET qualification. Please see our Cert IBET pages.

Location

The course is delivered in Bath, UK, in a comfortable central training location that provides wifi and refreshments. 

Materials

We’ll provide you with handouts on the course. In addition, course slides, games and other activities are available to download from our teaching platform. We’ll sign you up to it when you are in Bath. 

Accommodation

Our friendly host families have comfortable homes within 30 minutes walk of the centre of Bath and your training location. They are always excellent cooks! Alternatively, we can help you to find a bed and breakfast, hotel or apartment. Bath is a popular tourist destination so early booking for any type of accommodation is recommended. Dinner, bed and breakfast costs for 5 to 7 nights costs £320 / €400.

 The UNESCO city of Bath offers numerous cultural opportunities. If you are staying for the weekend, we can also help you to plan activities and trips outside of Bath.
